What you are buying
Before checkout, distinguish these digital products:
- account balance: denominated in USD for supported metered hosted products; it is not a bank deposit, stored-value card, fiat money or crypto asset;
- metered calls: charged at the displayed rate against balance or product Credits;
- auto-renewing subscription: a membership plan bought with PayPal or by card through Paddle, Creem or Dodo and charged monthly until cancelled;
- balance plan: 30 days of access bought with account balance; with auto-renewal on, the next period is charged to the balance on the day it ends, retried for 7 days if the balance is short, and it can be switched off any time;
- one-time plan: 30 days of access bought with crypto, by card through MoonPay or with WeChat Pay, with no automatic renewal.
- yearly plan: 365 days of access bought by card in one payment, priced below twelve monthly payments; credits still arrive and reset monthly, and it does not renew automatically.
Prices, currency and extra charges
Laintas balance and prices are generally shown in USD. WeChat Pay may convert to CNY at the rate displayed at checkout. A crypto processor displays asset, network, address, expiry and exact amount due. PayPal may convert based on account location. Each payment method’s processing fee is shown separately at checkout at that provider’s actual rate and paid by the payer, so the balance credited equals the amount you chose; WeChat Pay converts USD to CNY at the live rate at checkout. Conversion, cross-border or gas fees charged separately by a card issuer or blockchain network are not added to Laintas balance. The processor’s final confirmation screen controls before payment.
Payment methods and confirmation
PayPal, WeChat Pay and card payments through Paddle, Creem, Dodo or MoonPay usually credit soon after processor confirmation. A page redirect, closure or network interruption does not itself mean payment failed. Crypto is credited only after the processor confirms the correct network, asset, amount and sufficient blockchain confirmations. Assets sent to the wrong address or network, an expired order or for an insufficient amount may not be recoverable automatically. Keep the Laintas order ID and processor transaction reference, and do not immediately pay again because a page is delayed.
Digital delivery and order records
All products are digital services with no shipping or physical delivery. Successful balance top-ups appear in Account Settings, with order and ledger records in the Dashboard. An activated plan shows its plan, payment channel and validity period. PayPal’s item summary includes Laintas Account Credits, amount and invoice reference. For other channels, use both the processor checkout and Laintas order record for reconciliation.
Renewal and cancellation
PayPal subscriptions renew monthly and are charged by PayPal until cancelled in Laintas Settings or PayPal. Card subscriptions through Paddle, Creem or Dodo are charged monthly to the same card (processing fee included, tax added) and can be cancelled on the pricing page; the current period stays active and nothing more is charged. Cancel before the next billing date. Cancellation stops future renewal but normally does not reverse a billing period already started. Plans bought with balance renew only while "Renew from my account balance" is on, with a notice 3 days before; 30-day plans bought with crypto, MoonPay or WeChat Pay do not auto-renew. Buying a different plan stops the previous card subscription. Deleting an app, signing out or stopping use does not cancel a PayPal or card subscription. Keep the cancellation confirmation and verify plan status.
Allowances, charges and balance limits
Plan allowances are calculated per billing period and pooled across every product; plans differ in the size of that pool. The pricing and purchase-confirmation pages control. After an allowance is exhausted, supported calls may fall back to metered charges against balance or product Credits. Unused monthly allowances do not convert to cash, transfer or automatically roll over. Account balance is only for supported Laintas services and cannot be withdrawn, exchanged for cash, moved between accounts or used for third-party goods unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Grounds for a refund (R1–R4)
With sufficient evidence and a valid reason, the following can be refunded. Every refund decision names the clause it rests on:
- R1 Unused balance: balance from a top-up that has not been used, returned under this policy within the request window.
- R2 Duplicate charge or missing credit: the same order was charged twice, or a successful payment was never credited.
- R3 Service not delivered: a persistent Laintas-attributable failure made the paid service unusable and it could not reasonably be fixed.
- R4 Statutory right: a refund required by consumer-protection law that applies to you.
R1 is requested yourself under Settings → Refunds. For R2–R4, contact us by the address below or the Contact page with the order ID and proof of payment; a person verifies and handles it, and the outcome, amount and basis are confirmed to you in writing by email.
Grounds for declining (X1–X6)
A request is declined in the following cases. The notice names the clause, and the held balance goes back to your account (after any outstanding payment dispute):
- X1 Insufficient evidence: the payment proof does not match the order record, or the payment could not be attributed to this account.
- X2 Invalid payout details: the receiving address, network or coin does not meet the requirements, so the refund cannot be sent safely.
- X3 Payment dispute: a dispute or chargeback was opened on this payment with the provider or card issuer; the dispute outcome decides it.
- X4 Risk or violation: the payment appears unauthorised or fraudulent, or the account breached the terms of service.
- X5 Original method unavailable: the payment provider refused or no longer supports refunding this payment, and no other method was agreed.
- X6 Outside the refund scope: the amount is a membership or add-on purchase, used balance, or past the request window.
In addition, balance, calls, tokens and membership allowance already used are not refundable, and memberships and add-on packs — bought with balance or externally — are not refundable for now; auto-renewal can be cancelled at any time.
Refund rules and fees by payment method
Refunds are calculated only from this table; nothing outside it is charged. When you apply, the page lists the refundable amount, each deduction and the amount sent back from this table (for crypto, the network fee is a reference), and nothing is filed until you confirm.
| Method | Window (from payment) | What is refundable | Checkout fee | Deducted on refund | Returned via / by |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PayPal | 180 days | Unused balance of the top-up; partial refunds allowed | Not refunded | None | Back to PayPal; Hubei Laintas Technology Co., Ltd. |
| WeChat Pay | 365 days | Unused balance; partial refunds allowed; in proportion to the CNY actually paid, not at today’s rate | Not refunded | None | Back to WeChat; Hubei Laintas Technology Co., Ltd. (WeChat Pay merchant) |
| Card (Paddle, Creem, Dodo) | 180 days | Whole payment only: none of that top-up may have been used | Returned with the payment (tax included) | None | Back to the card; issued by the merchant of record (Paddle / Creem / Dodo) |
| Crypto | 365 days | Unused balance; partial refunds allowed; the original payment’s transaction hash is required | Not refunded | The on-chain network fee the payout actually costs (below) | USDC/USDT at 1 coin per USD, sent on-chain to an address you control, from the Laintas receiving wallet |
- The network fee on a crypto refund is what the payout transfer actually costs, and nothing else is charged. It cannot be known before the transfer is sent, so the request page shows a reference (currently about: USDC · Base $0.01; USDC · Arbitrum $0.02; USDC · Ethereum $1.00; USDT · TRON (TRC20) $4.00; USDT · Ethereum $1.00; USDT · BNB Chain $0.05); the actual fee and transaction hash appear in the completion notice and on the refund receipt, so you can check it on-chain. A network whose reference fee leaves nothing to send cannot be chosen.
- "Checkout fee" is the payment processing fee listed separately from the item at checkout and paid by you. It was never part of your balance, so it is not returned with the balance.
- Past payments by card through MoonPay (no longer offered) settled as on-chain stablecoin and follow the crypto rules; request them through the Contact page.
How a request works, and the refund terms
Under Settings → Refunds, choose a top-up and apply. Before you submit, the page lists the refundable balance, each deduction and the amount sent back, and shows the refund terms (current version 2026-10-18.2); the request is filed only once you have read them to the end and ticked to accept. We record the terms version, the time you accepted and your IP.
- A request returns everything still refundable on that top-up; the amount cannot be chosen, and a reason is required.
- For crypto you also give the payout network, a receiving address you control and the on-chain transaction hash of your original payment (checked against the payment record). Losses from a wrong address or network cannot be recovered.
- On submission the amount leaves your balance and is held, so it cannot be spent during review. A submitted request cannot be withdrawn.
- If the account has not used anything since that top-up was credited, non-crypto refunds are processed automatically; others are reviewed by a person, usually within 1–3 business days, and we may ask for more evidence.
- One request per account every 7 days, whatever the outcome; none while a payment dispute is open on the account.
- If the amount or the terms change between your confirmation and submission, nothing is filed on the old figures; the page asks you to confirm again.
Notices, receipts and arrival time
When a request is submitted, completed or declined, we send an inbox message and email giving the case number, the clause, the terms version, the balance refunded, each deduction and the amount sent back. A completed refund also names who sent it and the provider’s refund reference (for crypto, the on-chain transaction hash); a declined one names the X clause. Once decided, the refund receipt can be viewed and printed under Settings → Refunds. PayPal, WeChat and card refunds arrive when the provider and bank post them, usually minutes to a few business days; on-chain transfers arrive once confirmed. Every refund removes the corresponding balance.
How to submit a billing request
Contact billing support from the account email and provide enough information to reconcile the payment, but never send a password, verification code, full card number or private key:
- Laintas order ID, account email, item/plan and amount;
- payment method, payment time and processor transaction reference;
- a description and status screenshot with sensitive credentials removed;
- for crypto, the asset, network and transaction hash—never a seed phrase or private key.
Chargebacks, disputes and price changes
For a billing issue, contact us first so we can reconcile the order and avoid duplicate balance adjustments. This does not restrict a lawful right to dispute through a processor or card issuer. After a chargeback, the related order and account may be restricted during investigation, and credited balance may be held or reversed. Future prices, allowances or plans may change. Material adverse changes to auto-renewal will receive advance notice where practical and apply to future periods. Completed orders use the price confirmed at purchase.
Statutory rights and contact
This policy does not exclude or limit mandatory refund, cancellation, defect-remedy or other rights under applicable consumer law. Rules differ by region for immediately delivered digital content, services already begun and auto-renewal; mandatory law applicable to you controls. Use the address below for billing issues. By submitting a request, you permit us to process the account and payment information needed to reconcile it.
